GUMMED TAPE
The traditional way of sealing the backs of picture frames, our gummed tape is GSO (gum side out). Make sure you wet your tape evenly by pulling over a wet sponge in a dish, or by using our gum wetting dispensers, which give an even application of water and avoids the possibility of bubbling. Press the tape down firmly, do not bridge your tape. (See code GM1 and GM2 for our Gum Tape Dispensers).

TAPESTRY TAPE
Tapestry tape is a heavy duty double sided tape with a very sticky adhesive. The tape is a quick way to stretch tapestries of low value. Should not be used for conservation framing. Use by attaching strips around the face of hardboard or mountboard, then lay your tapestry face down onto a clean surface and place your board onto the centre with the exposed tape facing up and bend round stretching your tapestry over the board and pressing firmly into the adhesive.
